Richard is chef owner of Benedicts in Norwich, his first solo venture.

He started working in professional kitchens at the age of 16. He gained experience at The Waterside Inn with the Roux brothers where he worked for three years, making his way from commis chef to junior sous.
Prior to embarking on his solo venture, Richard worked as head chef at Michelin starred Morston Hall under Galton Blackiston.
Having failed to reach the national finals three times, this year’s competition is his fourth attempt to get to the banquet.
Richard has drawn inspiration from all the inspiring women in his life for his menu this year.
