Louis van Gaal ‘will never quit’ says former assistant

Louis van Gaal’s former assistant Raymond Verheijen believes that the Manchester United manager will not leave his current job, despite speculation that he will be sacked before his contract ends next summer.

“Louis van Gaal is not a quitter, he is a fighter. He will fight until the last day. He’s is looking to do the full three years and maybe stay even longer,” said Verheijen, who worked as Van Gaal's assistant for the Dutch national team that reached the 2014 World Cup semi-finals.
