Legal highs 'can cause loss of bodily control'

After video obtained by the Sun newspaper appeared to show footballer Raheem Sterling inhaling nitrous oxide, Jeremy Sare from the Angelus Foundation - which raises awareness of the dangers of legal highs - explained it's effects to 5 live Breakfast's Rachel Burden.

Sare said: "Its major risk derives from it's strong intoxicating affects and potential loss of bodily control."

"Anything that intoxicating is dangerous, but it's more about the circumstances in which you take it," he said.

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers says he'll be speaking to Raheem Sterling after the video emerged. Sterling starred on the pitch last night as Liverpool beat Newcastle to close to within four points of Manchester City in the race for the top four.
