How Tutankhamun’s tomb was replicated

The tomb of Egyptian pharaoh Tutankhamun has been replicated using 3D technology in a bid to save the original which is under threat from mass tourism.

Daily changes in humidity, airborne pollutants and people touching the walls have all contributed to the tomb's deterioration.

Rajan Datar reveals how the replica was created and how such a heavy and fragile object was transported to Luxor.
