Champions League victory for Birmingham City Ladies
Birmingham City Ladies have qualified for the semi-finals of the Women’s Champions League for the first time in their 46-year history.
They beat Arsenal 2-nil in the second leg of their quarter-final at Barnet on 30th March, for a 3-nil aggregate victory.
BBC WM Sport’s Rob Gurney describes the key action from the game itself, and got all the reaction afterwards from goalscorers Kirsty Linnett and Remi Allen, as well as manager David Parker and captain Karen Carney. Chairman Steve Shipway also discusses his dream of the Champions League Final in Lisbon in May, as long as they beat Swedish club Tyreso, who have Brazilian five-time world player of the year Marta in their ranks, to face in the semis first.
