Duncan’s diabetes story and WW1 gas mask experiments

Malc talks to Duncan from Banbury whose son has type one Diabetes about how the condition has changed their lives, and we continue our WW1 at Home series with remarkable stories from Oxfordshire. Today we discover more about how the gas mask was invented by John Scott Haldane, a scientist who experimented on himself and sometimes his family and their dog in his laboratory at his home in Crick Road, Oxford, to make a reliable gas mask to help protect soldiers in WW1.
