Andrew Marston introduces Natalie Holman (Hereford)
Unsigned, undiscovered & under-the-radar music, as recorded at the Jailhouse in Hereford.
Live music in Herefordshire & Worcestershire
We're finally here - at the end of our live highlights for 2013!
For the ninth year running, throughout the whole of December and continuing into the new year, we haven't been playing a single CD, MP3, tape or vinyl - because we've been giving you the music you can't get anywhere else on the planet!
In 2013, we continued to take the show on-the-road to some of the biggest events and most happening places in the two counties.
None of these artists knew they were being considered for these opportunities - they were chosen based on the tracks they sent into the BBC Introducing Uploader.
This week, hear live performances recorded at the BBC studios in Worcestershire, Devon and Shropshire.
Natalie Holman is a 21-year-old singer/songwriter from Hereford.
She's been singing and playing guitar since she was 13.
Her influences include acts as diverse as Paramore, McFly and Katy Perry.
Meet some of our local musicians...
BBC Introducing in Hereford
The venue has been known on the national circuit for its Spunky happy hardcore nights and has, in recent years, started championing lots of artists from the world of drum & bass including Wilkinson, who played there last month.
A local history of great gigs and musical legends...
He's one of the most prolific guitarists in our area - and this January launches a new Gypsy Jazz album.
Former Mars Bonfire frontman Remi Harris treated audiences at The Hatch in Tenbury Wells to a live performance of his latest work, just before Christmas.
Last year he played in front of the Queen at Buckingham Palace for their staff Christmas party.
Lisbee Stainton - live tracks
The Pontrilas songwriter, who recently supported Joan Armatrading and Paul Carrick, has been receiving regular airplay on BBC Radio 2, BBC 6 Music as well as here at BBC Hereford & Worcester.
She's now a full time musician and some of the tracks from her new album, Go, have had rave reviews in the The Times, The Independent on Sunday, The Daily Express and The Sunday Express.
She's been in at BBC Radio Devon performing live, as part of her tour with Seth Lakeman - we'll bring those tracks to you on this week's show.
Vault Of Eagles - live tracks
As Worcester's SLAP magazine described them: "Vault Of Eagles have already earned a serious reputation for delivering solid, edgy, hard-hitting rock, and the urge to watch and listen increases every time you see them perform.
As their live show powers through dynamic sets of twisted, 70s-inspired grooves, Vault Of Eagles create a vast sonic spectrum that surely is the envy of many three-piece bands far and wide."
They've recently been in session with our sister programme BBC Introducing in Shropshire - so we'll air those tracks across Herefordshire & Worcestershire on this week's edition.
BBC Introducing in Tenbury Wells
BBC Introducing in Hereford & Worcester supports unsigned, undiscovered and under-the-radar musicians from Herefordshire and Worcestershire.
Since 2011, we've been taking the show out on-the-road showcasing the very best musicians from our two counties.
Our next recording session takes place on Sunday 2 February at The Hatch in Tenbury Wells and features four acts who we've been playing on BBC Hereford & Worcester.
It's free to get in - and this is your chance to see how we capture live music on tape, while being able to enjoy some of the hottest new acts we've got in our area right now.
None of these artists knew they were being considered for a live session - they were chosen based on the tracks they uploaded to us.
Doors open at 2pm - but you're more than welcome to turn up anytime until 6pm.
BBC Introducing Musicians' Masterclass
On Thursday 21 March, we visited various locations across the UK - Glasgow, Belfast, London, Salford & Cardiff. DJs from all over BBC Radio, music industry experts and artists got together to host a day of sessions, workshops and masterclasses.
On the guestlist at Maida Vale were Worcester's Shaun Williams, Malvern's 5parks, Bromyard's Tenz, Droitwich's Case Closed and Bewdley's Barbarix.
Invited to Hoddinott Hall in Cardiff were Hereford's Daniel & The Scandals, Kidderminster's Lauren Wright and man-of-many-Worcester-bands Pete Adams.
We covered everything from song writing & MC workshops to promoting your music & making the most of your Twitter accounts.
We also heard from successful artists about their own musical journeys. Our special guests included Ben Howard, Aluna George, Wretch 32, Devlin, Angel, Japanese Popstars, Phil Kieran, Badly Drawn Boy and the Manic Street Preachers.
This week we discuss - do you need a big performance and how do you find your own sound?
