Degenerate Art and the Nazis

55 minutes
First broadcast:
Saturday 09 November 2013

In the week that news broke of the discovery of massive trove of art looted by the Nazis in Munich, we look back at the Degenerate Art exhibition, set up by the Nazis to ridicule contemporary art. Plus, half a million Moroccans march into the desert, the first multi-racial school in southern Africa, thousands evacuated after a chemical crash in Canada, and the death of Welsh poet Dylan Thomas.
