Fresh clashes in US budget talks

Listen in pop-out player

Just hours after the White House said there had been "tremendous progress" in budget talks to end the government shutdown and raise the debt ceiling, there are fresh clashes with Republicans. The British finance minister, George Osborne, has opened London's doors to China's currency and its banks, but who has the most to gain? John Humphrys reports from Athens on how the state of the Greek economy is affecting its people, following predictions it will soon come out of recession, and there are claims of large-scale illegal fishing off the coast of West Africa. Plus, it's not exactly a book, it's not really a film, it's not quite a game - we speak to the author of a new 'immersive' thriller that could change the future of publishing.
