Moulting seals

Seals are usually protected from the cold seas with a thick layer of blubber and fur. However, when it becomes time for their annual moult their blood flows closer to the surface of their skin, making them more susceptible to the cold. As a result, they don't fancy a dip nearly so much and even try to avoid the incoming tide.
