Joseph Jenkins: Diary of a Welsh Swagman

Huw Edwards reads from “Diary of a Welsh Swagman 1869-1894”, by Joseph Jenkins from Tregaron, which became a common school book in Australia. Jenkins moved to Australia at the age of 50 and spent 25 years there working as a manual labourer, writing the detailed and fascinating diary, before going back to Wales at the age of 76.
