Stone Age man's precious weapons and tools
Archaeologist Ben Robinson looks at the precious weapons and tools made by early man. The first tools were made of flint, a hard stone which produces a razor sharp edge for cutting wood or hunting and butchering wild animals. Towards the end of the age of stone tool manufacture, a few objects of artistic beauty were created including the Jadeite hand axe in the Wiltshire Museum. Ben Robinson demonstrates and handles this amazing and beautiful tool.
