Creating music for 'Shaun the Sheep'

Composer Mark Thomas creates orchestral sounds using the computer for 'Shaun the Sheep'. He invites us into his studio and immediately introduces us to the 'big orchestra', which is really his computer. He demonstrates the individual instrument sounds - the banjo, a tam tam, a French horn and a bass, with close-ups of the configurations of the computer. The composer explains how to create different moods to accompany the visuals and how music can affect the way the audience interprets what is happening in the scene. One scene is played without any sound, then with two different interpretations.
