BBC 6 Music's Linda Serck looks at why Jeff Wayne has introduced a New Generation version of his War Of The Worlds.
The 1978 concept album musical version of The War of the Worlds spent more than 330 weeks in the UK charts, reaching No. 1 in 11 countries and selling over 15 million copies.
Now a reworked version features cast members including Liam Neeson, Gary Barlow, Maverick Sabre, Joss Stone and Ricky Wilson from The Kaiser Chiefs.
BBC 6 Music takes a look at what is so 'new' about the New Generation of War Of The World's by speaking to some of the main players and asking Jeff Wayne himself why he's revisiting his own classic record.
