Merlin and Arthur sense trouble
Merlin and Arthur ride along a track in a wooded valley. A faint scream drifts up to them on the still mountain air.
Arthur instantly dismounts and runs to investigate. Sensing trouble Merlin joins him. The two heroes peer over the crest of a rocky ridge... below them a group of villagers are driving an old woman, accused of witchcraft, towards a makeshift pyre.
Revealing himself as King, Arthur orders that the woman at least get a fair trial - the villagers are shocked at his compassion towards the threat of magic yet their leader, Alrick, goes to plunge the flaming brand into the pyre regardless. He freezes when he feels ARTHUR's sword at his throat...
