Should There Be Sports Pitches At Eagle Drive?

Public consultation begins and arguments continue over plans for sports pitches at land off Eagle Drive in Northampton, near to Delapre Park. Northampton Borough Council's proposals include new training facilities for the Saints and the Cobblers as well as a memorial pitch for Richard Butcher, the professional footballer who died last year. Concerns surround possible damage to the site of the Battle OF Northampton and about the likely impact of a nearby riding school. Stuart talks to Gail Butcher, Richard Butcher's mother, to riding school owner Lucy Clifton, to Chris Wearmouth from Northampton Saints and to Councillor David Mackintosh, Leader of Northampton Borough Council.
