Margaret Thatcher and the Falklands War

On 2 April 1982 Argentina invaded the Falkland Islands, a remote British colony in the South Atlantic. In a matter of days Margaret Thatcher sent a force to expel the Argentinian army. Max Hastings examines how victory in the Falkands transformed Thatcher’s premiership and increased her popularity.
