Bellies Full of Air

Written by Julie Matthews and sung by Barry Coope.

Bellies Full of Air reflects on the affects of rationing during 1948 Olympics in Britain. Often called the Austerity Games, hear how some of the athletes ate, drank and dressed in order to be ready for the competition. The Americans imported fruit, the Chinese brought over bamboo shoots and the French, well, they had two wagons of Claret of course.
