The Great British Story: A People's History The Great British Story at the Museum of Liverpool, photos by Sujith Ganegoda

Crowds of more than 3,000 people headed to our event at the Museum of Liverpool on the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee weekend for a patriotic delve into the history books. The Great British Story’s presenter Michael Wood took to the stage again with fellow panellists Dr Turi King, a genetics expert who also appears in the BBC Two series, and Paul Gallagher, a Liverpudlian born and bred and a curator at National Museums Liverpool. The panel sessions, dubbed 'A Question of History', were chaired by BBC Radio Merseyside’s Roger Phillips. Elsewhere in the museum our partners from all over the region offered advice on researching family history, place names and Liverpool's rich sporting and musical heritage. Thanks to all our partners, panellists, visitors and the Museum of Liverpool for a fantastic day out.
