Duration:
1 hour
First broadcast:
Friday 22 June 2012

The Solent is famous for its rich maritime heritage and the H2O Show covers all aspects of life on the water - leisure, business and sport. Whether you're a sailing professional or just like watching the boats go by on the Solent, the programme will have something to appeal to you.

At the start of Seafarers Awareness Week, Apostleship of the Sea Chaplain Rev. Roger Stone tells Sir Robin Knox-Johnston & Shelley Jory Leigh about his work.

Also this week, Canoe Englane tell us about the new Go Canoeing initiative and National Historic Ships UK tell us about their role in preserving some of the nation’s classic boats.

We look ahead to the Etchells series in The Solent this weekend and find out how you can get on-board a tall ship in Weymouth.

Plus in the second of our Cowes Week previews, find out how the youngsters can get the most out of the world famous regatta.

The H2O Show is only on FM, DAB and online this week. There’s ball by ball cricket commentary of Hampshire Royals and Kent Spitfires on AM.

The H2O Show is also available as a podcast and you can get news and features from the programme on Facebook and via Twitter.
