A study of university graduates from Essex shows a big gap in pay for men and women with women earning less than their males counterparts.

With a special report due at Downing Street on duty on fuel, Conservative Harlow MP Robert Halfon is urging the chancellor not to increase tax in the forthcoming budget.

Culture Secretary Jeremy Hunt is to unveil a "staycation" campaign that will involve incentives for Britons choosing to holiday in their own country.
