If you’re of a certain age, you’ll know that Deniece Pearson is no stranger to No.1 hits, having been lead singer of ‘80s pop band Five Star, dubbed ‘Britain’s answer to the Jackson Five’.

During her time in Five Star, 43 year-old Deniece had six Top 10 singles, played two sell-out tours, lived in LA for over a decade, won a BRIT award and even met the Queen - not a bad CV! But now, she’s found her own voice and wants to go from ‘Five Star’ to solo star.

She’s recently been performing in the West End in ‘Thriller Live’ but is ready for a fresh shot at the charts. She blew Sir Tom away with her rendition of Christina Aguilera’s ‘Fighter’ and now she’ll have to be a fighter as she heads towards the battle round.
