Shuttle Retirement
Endeavour has returned to Earth safely and Atlantis is now being prepared for the very last space shuttle flight. We talk to the BBC’s Jonathan Amos about the legacy that the shuttle programme will leave behind.

Hominid teeth
A recent analysis of early hominids shows that the males seemed to grow up and live in the same place, but the females left their childhood homes. Researchers were trying to find out about the diets of these early people but instead found that males married girls from out of town! Professor Julia Lee-Thorp who led the team from the University of Oxford discusses the findings.

Science News
More than 1500 people in nine nations are now known to have been infected with a strain of e-coli which has led to several deaths. German officials say their investigations indicate that people were probably infected by eating raw cucumbers, tomatoes or lettuce. Elsewhere, a new report says that wildlife numbers in the world-renowned Masai Mara nature reserve in Kenya are falling drastically.

Electric Car Sounds
What noise should an electric car make? Should they make any noise at all? We hear from the BBC's Nick Holland on the safety issue that electric cars might be too quiet for pedestrians to hear.
