Arts, entertainment and things to do (FM & online only)

Neil's Sunday evening programme is a mix of reviews and previews from the world of arts and culture, mixed with a selection of music that will leave you wanting more.

This week, Neil climbs on board a traction engine at The Bill Targett Memorial Steam & Vintage Rally which has been taking place near Winchester this weekend.

Michael Kern and Ryan Sanders, the stars of Southampton Musical Society’s production of Boogie Nights - The 70's Musical tell Katie Martin about the show which opens next week at Winchester’s Theatre Royal.

Director Sharon Holloway will be talking about the film Gang Girls which is set in Southampton.

And in the Sunday poetry series, Chris Carnegy goes hopping mad as he reflects on the Dorset wallaby.

Hampshire county bowler Steve Whitehead keeps us up to date with the week’s bowls club news and in a new game.

You can help compile the topical playlist which this week is based on the reported sighting of a tiger in Hampshire.

And we’ll have live cricket reports from The Whitgift School in Croydon as Hampshire take on Surrey in the Clydesdale Bank 40 over competition.

For those on the roads across the south of England, there is travel news as it happens. And a smile is promised as the weekend draws to a close.

BBC Radio Solent offers a choice of listening on a Sunday evening, with Neil on 96.1 and 103.8FM and on the BBC iPlayer, ball by ball cricket on AM and The Paul Miller Soul Show on digital radio and the BBC iPlayer.
