Synopsis

The Greens and UKIP- spotting a gap in the Yorkshire political market? Len Tingle catches up with activists as they prepare for the 2011 Council elections on May 5th.Both these minor parties say they are putting out record numbers of candidates across Yorkshire. Jane Collins, regional organiser of UKIP in Yorkshire says the party is on a roll after coming second in the recent Barnsley Westminster by-election. Andrew Copper, a leading Green in Yorkshire, says the party has stuck to its environmental guns and voters will recognise its honesty.
