A review of the new opera based on the life of Winnie Madikizela-Mandela, performed at the South African state theatre in Pretoria.

The Favela Museum

We visit the Museum of the Favela in Rio de Janeiro which has been designed to re-tell the history of the favelas through street art painted on the walls of residents' houses.

The rise of music festivals in China

Over the last 10 years music festivals have been popping up all over the country as the young become increasingly interested in both home-grown and Western music. But, as Linda Kennedy reports, this is often at odds with the Chinese authorities.
