Analysing Cosmic rays from ISS
The Endeavour space shuttle is delivering the Alpha Magnetic Spectrometer to the International Space Station. The complex and expensive scientific experiment - AMS - will analyse the ultra-high-energy cosmic rays, look for anti-matter and evidence for dark matter.

The Royal couple William and Kate will stand on the Cosmati pavement before the altar at Westminster Abbey when they get married on 29th April.
GPS tracking 2010 Chilean earthquake
Global Positioning System stations placed all around Chile gave real time data on the movement of the earth during the massive 8.8 magnitude earthquake in Chile last year. They showed that not only the land moved 5 metres to the west, but also that different areas moved in different directions and at different times. The slippage at the fault line was not smooth and seemed to hold for a few seconds, before finally giving way and leading to the massive quake.
