The Census is a huge resource for people interested in family history.

Mary Hyland has just discovered that her Irish grandfather filled in a census by falsifying his name and signing it with an illegal signature -he was pretending to be an Englishman in order to find somewhere for his family to rent!

Mary is from Plantagenesta - a family history research company - and will be telling us how we can use the census to help in building our family tree.
