Ipswich fire control to move to Cambridgeshire

Duration:
3 hours
First broadcast:
Monday 20 December 2010

The Fire Brigades Union in Suffolk will continue to fight the decision to move Ipswich fire control centre to Cambridgeshire. Foz gets the thoughts of the FBU's Andy Vingoe and of Mark Sanderson, Suffolk's Assistant Chief Fire Officer.

The government has halted negotiations with Soteria, the preferred bidder to run the search and rescue service. Bury MP David Ruffley tells Foz what this means for the Wattisham helicopter.

Look East's Kevin Burch chats to Ipswich Town's head groundsman Alan Ferguson on one of the busiest nights of his career. His hard work on the pitch allowed Ipswich to finish their 3-0 victory against Leicester on Saturday.

Hear some of Foz's Festive Favourites in the music hour after 6pm.
