The widespread publication of leaked diplomatic documents from the US is causing embarrassment among world leaders.

The publications reveal grave differences between what is said publicly and what diplomats really think. But should communications between diplomats have to be secret - and does the public really have a right to know what gets talked about behind closed diplomatic doors?
