He is well known for his roles in some of the UK's biggest cult television programmes. This included playing the same character in two Patrick McGoohan dramas, Danger Man and The Prisoner, fuelling speculation that they are possibly linked. He was also a regular in The Avengers and Doctor Who, playing in three episodes of each, mostly in comedy roles. He was also Sir John Glutton, the regular adversary in the period family adventure series Dick Turpin.

The 2010 BBC Sports Personality of the Year show, which returns to Birmingham for a third time is on Sunday, 19 December.BBC Sports Personality Of The Year
The 2010 event will be the biggest ever, with the LG Arena ready to accommodate about 12,000 people.
Gary Lineker, Sue Barker and Jake Humphrey will host the live show and Jake will be on our show today to tell us all about this year's awards.
This year, the two-hour spectacular will once again be broadcast live on BBC television, radio and online from 1900 GMT and will be attended by former winners of the main award and many of the biggest names from the world of sport.

Roger is best known as a former member of the Bonzo Dog Doo-Dah band. He wrote some of their wittiest songs such as 'Shirt', 'Tubas in the Moonlight' and 'Trouser Press'.Roger Ruskin Spear
He is also well known for his robot creations, that graced the stage with the Bonzos, creating much hilarity and havoc. He is also famed for his virtuosity on the theremin leg - in 'Noises for the Leg', amongst other tunes. Many of his songs have clothing/wardrobe related themes, such as 'Trouser Freak', 'Trouble with my Trousers' and 'Waiting for the 'Wardrobe', as well as the aforementioned 'Shirt' and 'Trouser Press'. It is not known why.
