Said Adan Ali is the mayor of a small Somali town putting up a big fight against piracy. The residents of Bender Bayla have recently fended off two attempted hijackings of fishing vessels in their waters - Said tells Matthew Bannister how.

Reporter Dorian Jones meets former child prisoners in Turkey. Until earlier this year, the authorities there regularly arrested young people they accused of being involved with terrorism. Many of them were sent to adult prisons - and are still traumatised by the experience.

When Israeli film-maker Noa Ben-Hagai discovered an old box of letters, she also stumbled upon a decades-old family secret: her Palestinian relatives. She determined to track them down and bring the two sides of the family back together; but as her film about the experience shows, the reconciliation was harder than she thought.
