This play about sex trafficking has just opened at the Edinburgh Festival. From Cora Bissett it uses video, animation and live performance to explore the experience of one young woman from Benin City looking for a way to support her family. Bidisha talks to Cora about the play which is performed not in a traditional theatre but in a bus and small apartment.
Ramadan Soap Operas
During Ramadan in Egypt, after Iftar, the main evening meal is over, many Egyptians gather around the television to watch specially scheduled Egyptian TV soaps. Eva Dadrian snaffles a place of the sofa to report for The Strand.

Danish writer, Lars Husum, has been hailed for his powerful, humorous and brilliantly rough tone in his new novel My Friend Jesus Christ.
