To mark the city's status as one of the European Capitals of Culture 2010, Harriett Gilbert travels to Istanbul to discover the thriving arts scene in the city. She finds out about Turkey's Hollywood - Yesilcam and speaks to one of the country's leading director Semih Kaplanoglu, winner of this year's Golden Bear award at Berlin. We have specially recorded music from the exuberant band Babazula, Oya Eczacibasi takes us around Istanbul's first Museum of Modern Art and Harriett discovers Turkey's portable thriving theatre with director Mehmet Ergen.
