Rokia Traore
Rokia Traore is fiercely proud of what she calls her modernity, her openness to new things, and she wants to support other young Malian musicians that see themselves in the same way. Martin Vogl reports from Bamako on the progress of the initiative Rokia Traore has started up - the Foundation Passerelle.

Written by Maria Barbal, the classic Catalan novel Pedra de Tartera or Stone in a Landslide is translated into English for the first time. We talk to the author and to publisher Meike Ziervogel of Peirene Press who has brought the book to English language readers.
