Duration: 1 hour, 30 minutes

The seventh annual Eurovision Song Contest broadcast from Villa Louvigny in Luxembourg.

France made history by becoming the first country to win the contest for a third time, on this occasion with the song "Un Premier Amour", performed by Isabelle Aubret.

Another first in the contest was that several countries, including Austria, Belgium, the Netherlands and Spain, all scored "null points" - something that had never happened before.
