Spring is the time to get really close to forest buzzards. Chris Packham assists in ringing some buzzard chicks which are being monitored as they give a good indication of the health of the rest of the environment. There are two chicks of about 10 days old that still have the remains of their egg tooth. Their eyes are still brown - they'll change to a chestnut colour as they grow. Chris compares their smell to that of tawny owl and kestrel.
