A coral reef is a natural metropolis. For its inhabitants, it is full of opportunities and deals to be struck. Some enterprising characters are cleaning up. There is a market niche for professional groomers. Cleaners like the tiny wrasse dine on the parasites and dead skin of larger fish. They set up their own cleaning stations. Customers come from far and wide for dental hygiene or a gill wash and in return the cleaner gets a meal. Cleaner shrimps also serve a discerning clientele. Fish have good memories and come back regularly to be pampered in exactly the same spot, and by the same cleaner.
