Tinga Tinga Tales
The biggest-ever animated series to come out of Africa launches on British television this week. Called Tinga Tinga Tales, it's a series of 52 ten minute films for children's television made in Nairobi by traditional African artists working alongside animators and international voice actors. We take a tour of the studio in Kenya and meet the Tinga Tinga team.
The electro pop duo from Bombay, via New York and Hong Kong comprising a poet and a singer, have played some extraordinary gigs in their time, including the Jaipur Literary Festival, and as an opening act for author Vikram Seth.
Musician, actor and wordsmith Henry Rollins is often best known as the energetic front man of the bands Black Flag and the Rollins Band. His new project - the Frequent Flyer Tour sees him taking to the stage, not to sing this time - but to tell stories of his extensive global adventures. He drops into the studio to tell Mark what inspires his need to travel, and how standing in front of an audience differs from playing a gig.

The American sculptor James Turrell uses light and space to create installations that have moved even the harshest critics to wonder at the beauty and simplicity of his work. I want to create an atmosphere like the wordless thought that comes from looking into a fire." Recently a new museum opened devoted entirely to Turrrell's work.
