LISTEN
BBC Somerset's weekly look at rural news, countryside issues, wildlife and local events.
My radio experience began when I was 13 years old, by forcing my dear mum to listen to "Home Radio" through speakers in our living room whilst she was doing the ironing.
The audience was very receptive and complimentary and so the ambition continued until, aged 28, I started broadcasting professionally on local radio.
There were a few twists and turns in a reasonably colourful career on the way including running a pub, a clothes shop and sales and marketing for various products and I even spent a year as a "white van man".
Now very happily settled in Hatch Beauchamp it's my job to get up at silly o'clock and present the Breakfast Show.
Matt Faulkner starts the bank holiday with news, sport, weather, travel and your texts.
