Urban living

Duration: 02:18

The burrowing owl would normally be found living in the prairies, however, in Silicon Valley the urban environment has grown up around them and they've been forced to adapt to a new way of life. Using old pipes as a nest, instead of prairie dog burrows, they can raise between 1 and 12 chicks in a summer season.
