    For the Christmas season, Liam hosts a quiz in the Kist Studio. He introduces Team One (‘The Hamiltons’): Jackie Reed of the Ulster-Scots project at Stranmillis College; William Roulston of the Ulster Historical Foundation; and their captain, Willie Drennan of the Ulster-Scots Folk Orchestra. Team Two (‘The Montgomerys’) consists of Andrew Mattison of the Border Reivers Re-Enactment Group; David Hume from the Broadisland Gathering; and their captain Vivienne Hewitt, Theatre and Opera Director.

    Round 1 is on words and the teams identify body parts -‘shoother’, ‘neb’, ‘loof’, ‘thrapple’, ‘chullers’, ‘lug’.

    Round 2 asks the teams to identify musical clips: Field Marshall Montgomery Pipe Band; The Scottish Fiddle Orchestra; the Low Country Boys; and the Ulster-Scots Folk Orchestra.

    Round 3 looks at poetry and the teams name the poet: James Orr; Sarah Leech; Charlie Gillen; and James Fenton.

    In Round 4, Liam reviews films which the Teams identify: The Sound of Music; The Godfather; Star Wars; and Titanic.

    Round 5 looks at events of 2006: Hamilton & Montgomery; the Border Counties Gathering; James Fenton’s 75th birthday; a book of Ulster Innovators.

    Round 6 is called ‘Dramatic Twists’ with clips from: ‘Who Dares to Speak?’; and ’18 Miles to Freedom’.

    The final Round 7 is more Ulster-Scots words -‘mell’, ‘gowl’, ‘thrawn’, ‘pachle’, ‘gulpin’, ‘drookit’, ‘weechil’, ‘cratur’, ‘gulder’, ‘whaup’, ‘pruck’, ‘lig’.
