Brief encounter
Duration: 00:56
Diving down to Manta Reef, biologist Andrea Marshall spots one of the rarest creatures in the ocean. The small eyed stingray has only ever been seen alive off the Tofu reefs in Mozambique. Gliding effortlessly past the divers, this is the largest of the stingrays with a wingspan of 2.5m and this brief encounter is the first footage of them ever to be shown.
