Synopsis

How can radio benefit listeners in troubled areas of the world such as Afghanistan?

Recently, a new drama has been broadcast to the region which is designed to help the many people who are moving into the cities from elsewhere, and are finding problems like unemployment, corruption and drug addiction hard to deal with.

Penny Vine talks to the man behind the new drama, and to a British actor who has been working alongside the cast.

Penny also challenges the editor of One Planet to explain why his programme has set off on a world tour, apparently abandoning all concern for its carbon footprint.

Also, find out why it isn't possible to broadcast live commentary on some of football's Uefa Champions League matches.
