Leap for lunch

Duration: 01:00

In the dry season the munguba tree produces seeds with fluffy tufts that help them drift away on the breeze. Tui parakeets pull seeds out of the seed pods to eat them. Brycon - also called the South American trout - are desperate for food and snatch at any seed that lands in the water. They are so hungry that they will leap out of the water to grab seeds snagged on twigs and stems. Clip includes slow motion of fish jumping.
