Dangerous dancing feet
Just prior to the monsoon rains, in the early morning, the stage is set for the ultimate in peocock display. Fanning their elaborate tails, they literally make eyes at the peahens in a ritual said to be the harbinger of the rains. And that's not the end of their talent. They are also known as snake killers, and will attack even cobras, stamping their feet and pecking at them until they're driven off.
