Iguana's egg race
The monumental climb to the summit of Fernandina is just the start of the egg-laying struggle for female land iguanas. Fights erupt over nesting sites - the losers face the perilous descent into the crater itself to find other sites. The film crew had to make the same arduous trek up the volcano and spend a week in the unforgiving environment.
