Adam presents the Breakfast Show each weekday morning between 6.30am and 9.00am, so it's an early start for the man who doesn't do early mornings.
After studying at Leeds College of Music and York St John University, he started his theatre career as a musical director at the Library Theatre in Manchester. There followed national tours of Little Shop of Horrors, Jesus Christ Superstar; working with stars such as Danny La Rue, Lorraine Chase and Fern Britton amongst others. He also worked with Russ Abbott at the London Palladium.
Adam began his association with BBC Radio York in June 1992; although a novice, Adam was clearly a natural broadcaster. He is equally at home in front of a live audience and enjoys hosting events.
He is married to Helen, and loves playing cricket (lots of it) with his two sons.
