Paul Miller Soul Show The best of modern and classic soul.

Whether you are finishing off a nightshift, got an early start or just raising a tentative ear above the duvet, Alina Jenkins brings you the essential news, travel and weather to start your day.

There's plenty of great music - classic hits and current favourites - and some early-morning chat from Alina.

Alina is a familiar face on our TV screens - for four years she was South Today's weather presenter, bringing news on everything from heatwaves to hurricanes.

She also once did a weather forecast from live on a moving roller coaster - believed to be a television first!

Born in Eastleigh, Alina lived in Horton Heath for 18 years. She went to Fair Oak School before leaving for the bright lights of London to study dance and drama.

Her first job after college was working as a performer on the cruise ship MV Marco Polo, which took her all round the world.

As an actress, she appeared on TV in Preston Front, Crime Traveller, Red Dwarf and a number of commercials.

After volunteer work for Southampton's Hospital Radio, HBA Alina sent her tape in to BBC Radio Solent and was short listed as a BBC Talent finalist, which led to a job presenting the travel news and eventually the weather on BBC South Today.
