Steve Yabsley went to school in Bristol's Fishponds and Easton.
He is best-known for his lunchtime show but his career has not always been in broadcasting.
After spells working with reproduction furniture and contact lenses, Steve joined BBC Radio Bristol in 1985.
During his time at the station Steve has been a reporter, presenter and producer on many different programmes.
Steve has also performed many times as part of a comedy double act, including appearing at London's Comedy Store and supporting Eddie Izzard.
A keen artist, Steve has exhibited paintings and prints locally and in London.
